Marathon des Burons sur l’Aubrac : retour à mes premiers amours 💗

In June 2007, I participated in my first long trail race. Its name: the Marathon des Burons on the Aubrac plateau, named after the shepherds' huts that dot this magnificent plateau straddling the Lozère, Aveyron, and Cantal departments. I absolutely LOVED running through the pastures among the Aubrac cows and through the millions of wildflowers in the fields 🌸🤩❤️! I discovered that I was in love with this outdoor sport 🍀🥰. 19 years later, I returned with just as much joy ✌️. This idyllic and legendary race still exists. Today, it's 50 km with 1500 meters of elevation gain 🏃🏻. I loved frolicking again between 1200 and 1400 meters altitude... 😅👏 It was a shared and tenfold pleasure because that Sunday, June 21, 2026, was also Father's Day and our first wedding anniversary with Camille. My incredible wife was providing me with supplies, along with Robinson, my youngest. He just watched the video twice in a row and still managed to say, "It's not a race, it's a stroll!" 😂😅😘 In short, it was definitely my trail running celebration in Aubrac that weekend. I hope you enjoy it too... Happy viewing! PS: Thanks again to my dear Camille ❤️ and my little boy 😘.
