MARINE BATTALION | INDONESIAN MARINE INFANTRY BATTALION | INDONESIAN MARINE BATTALION The Marine Battalion (abbreviated Yonmar) is the Development and Operations Unit of the Indonesian Navy. As the Development and Operations Unit, Kormar is tasked with conducting amphibious operations, coastal defense operations, and securing outer islands within the framework of Military Operations of War (OMP) and Military Operations Other Than War (OMSP) in accordance with the policies of the TNI Commander and is accountable to the TNI Commander. As the Development Unit, Kormar is tasked with developing the strength and operational readiness of marine units and developing maritime potential into a maritime defense and security force, subordinate to and directly responsible to the Chief of Naval Staff.
