Residents of La Bisbal de l'Empordà have expressed their anguish at the sight of the advancing flames. Josefina Rodríguez, a local resident, confessed that her greatest fear is "that everything will burn," especially "the animals left up there, without their homes or shelters," adding that "it's a shame."
