Exploring Stockton: Beyond It's negative image, I am a Stocktonion born and bred. Norton to be exact..... But I now live out of town in a new-ish development known as Ingleby Barwick. In recent years, Stockton has had a lot of criticism. Some deserved and some is a bit unfair in my opinion. So today, I take a walk into town to have a look around for the first time in a while. Is it that bad? I don't think so and I actually think it is improving. Yes the main shopping centre has gone, but it made sense to move all of the retail to the top end so all are together rather than been dotted around as they once were. The revamped Wellington Square is great, although it could do with more cover to keep the rain out. Is your hometown much different / better? let me know. Thanks for watching !
