Ein Sommertag 2019 wurde für ihre Familie zum Albtraum | Marisa & Kaio

A summer day at the outdoor pool with a barbecue in the evening – that was the plan. But then: a phone call that would change everything. Ambulance, intensive care unit, rehab, hospice, home care services... Marisa's son Kaio was almost four years old when he drowned in the outdoor pool in the summer of 2019 and suffered severe brain damage. Since then, the family has been living a life for which no one prepared them: endless bureaucracy and a daily routine that has to be reorganized every day. 👉 In this episode, Marisa tells us what she felt the day before her phone rang. 👉 What it's like to sit in a waiting room and not know what to ask for. 👉 What an ethics committee decided about her child's life. 👉 Her thoughts on rehab, hospice care, and medical decisions... 👉 What a vegetative state is 👉 What it's like to live as a family when your life is constantly controlled by others. This episode is for everyone who wants to know what caring parents really go through – beyond statistics and superficial gestures of sympathy. 🔗 Marisa on Instagram: @unserlangerwegzurueck Rollicoaster Podcast on social media: Instagram: @rollicoaster.podcast Facebook: @rollicoaster.pod 🎙 Rollicoaster Podcast – about life outside the norm 📌 Subscribe to never miss an episode and help give visibility to true stories.
