At many points in life, we feel trapped, like the people of Israel at the Red Sea: problems loom behind us, there seems to be no way out, and fear begins to dominate our hearts. However, God always has a word for his children: “Do not be afraid, remain calm.” Fear makes us lose our peace, make hasty decisions, and forget that God is still in control. Calm, on the other hand, is born of trust. It doesn't mean that difficulties don't exist, but rather that we know who walks with us through them. Jesus also constantly repeated to his disciples, “Do not be afraid.” He knew that faith blossoms when the heart ceases to be ruled by fear and begins to rest in God's presence. Perhaps today you are facing an illness, a family problem, financial hardship, or uncertainty about the future. Don't let fear have the final say. Pray, trust, and wait. God is already at work, even when your eyes cannot yet see it. Remaining calm is not resignation; it is believing that the Lord will open a way where it seems impossible.
