Sukatani Station is a small station in Purwakarta, West Java. Formerly known as Halteu Bendul, Sukatani Station was destroyed. However, a massive explosion transformed the station and gave it the nickname "Cacat Pemanen." On April 11, 1968, at approximately 10:15 PM WIB, the boiler of steam locomotive CC5002 exploded while stopping at Sukatani Station, then known as Bendul. The main station building was severely damaged, killing the engineer, stoker, and a prospective assistant engineer, along with three other people present at the scene. The station manager, who also served as the PPKA (Commissioner of the Indonesian Railways), was also among the victims. Following the incident, the station required renovations, and the PNKA decided to rename it Sukatani. (Quoted from Wikipedia)
