What's up everyone, welcome back to Aaron Arnold Reacts! 🎉 Today we're diving DEEP into a decade of German music with my American reaction to the Top 10 Deutsche Songs from 2010 to 2019! As an American living in Europe, I'm always discovering new music, and German music has been on my radar for a while now. I actually took German class for a year and a half back in the day, so I was hoping I'd recognize a few of these tracks! 🇩🇪 This was such a wild ride through 10 years of German music history! From insane beards 🧔 to chill 2011 vibes, to the rap era of 2017, this video had EVERYTHING. We started with some absolutely incredible 2010 tracks (that beard cut though?! What in the world?!), moved into the smooth 2012 sound (which honestly might be my favorite year on the list), and then experienced the massive vibe shift toward the end of the decade. 🎤 SONGS & ARTISTS I REACTED TO: The 2010 banger with the most INSANE beard I've ever seen 2011 chill vibes that immediately changed the energy Jupiter Jones - what an awesome band name! 2012 hits that I actually recognized from my German class days Cro (Crow?) - this guy seems like a HUGE artist in Germany 2014 with that insane music video Astronaut - the military-themed song that caught me off guard The 2017 rap era and how completely it shifted German music 2018 with that crazy vibe change 2019 closing out the decade 🇺🇸 MY HONEST AMERICAN PERSPECTIVE: I have to be completely honest with you guys - this is an HONEST reaction here! While I LOVED the early years of the list (2011-2014 were genuinely incredible), I wasn't the biggest fan of the shift toward the end of the decade. The older songs felt more representative of Germany to me, more authentic to the culture I've been discovering. But hey, maybe that's just my American perspective! 🤷‍♂️ Music evolves and changes everywhere - the same thing happened in American music during this exact same decade!
