Heretics! | Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 Demo (No Commentary Gameplay)

Welcome to a full look at the demo for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2. If you love gory, retro-style boomer shooters, this sequel needs to be on your radar. My Terrible Aim & The Difficulty I'll be the first to admit: sometimes my aim in this video makes it look like the main character and the enemies were all trained by Stormtroopers! Haha. I played through the demo on Normal difficulty, and for the most part, it wasn't overly punishing. Aside from a couple of intense sections where I died a few times, it felt pretty accessible. If you're a veteran of the genre looking for a true challenge, I'd definitely recommend bumping it up to Hard. Movement, Gunplay, & High-Energy Tracks The movement feels fantastic. It has a heavy classic DOOM inspiration but injects satisfying slides and sword slashes that make the flow feel amazing. The weapons pack a serious punch too—that starting pistol has an incredibly nice, crunchy sound profile to it. To pull it all together, the soundtrack is pure high energy; while music taste is totally subjective, it absolutely does the job to amp you up and send you headfirst into battle. Environmental Variety & The Lore The demo split the action across two completely different areas, and I really appreciated the visual variety. Swapping between a dense jungle environment and a freezing, snowy mountain area kept things feeling fresh. Full disclosure: I don't know a ton about deep Warhammer lore outside of playing a couple of games here and there. But you don't need a degree in the universe to have a blast here. If you like boomer shooters, Warhammer, or both, you are going to find a lot of fun in this title. The game is currently aiming for a 2026 release, so go check out the demo on Steam and drop it on your wishlist!  #Boltgun2 #nocommentarygameplay #BoomerShooter #Warhammer40k #RetroFPS #DoomVibes #PCGaming #SteamNextFest #IndieDiscoveries #FirstPlaythrough
