The journey of a giant McDonnell Douglas DC-10 that took off from Istanbul on March 3, 1974, and ended in the Ermenonville forest near Paris, was extremely intriguing to me. Driven by this curiosity, I examined every detail of the path leading to the crash. I went back to the early 1970s, listening to the debates surrounding the arrival of these aircraft in Turkey. I delved deep into the newspaper archives of those days. I visited Rona Altınay's grave in Aşiyan countless times. Then, while researching what else might be there, what else I could find, I came across the crash report prepared by the French authorities.
