윤회, 천국, 지옥 '있느냐 없느냐'는 논쟁은 부처님의 가르침에서 출발부터 멀어진 것이란 이유 | 이중표 교수 | 인간붓다

Buddhist scholar Lee Jung-pyo, Professor Emeritus at Chonnam National University and head of Buddhanara, has dismantled private views through the original sound of the Buddha's teachings. No matter what books he read or the teachings of scholars and monks he listened to, he couldn't clearly understand the core of Buddha's enlightenment, the Dharma of Dependent Origination (緣起法) and the Middle Way. Therefore, he self-taught himself Pali and Sanskrit, the languages of the Buddha's time, to delve into the early scriptures. Throughout his Nikaya series (published by Bulkwang Publishing), including "Jeongseon Digha Nikaya" and "Jeongseon Matjima Nikaya," and his latest work, "Jeongseon Ssangyutta Nikaya," he has revived the original sound of the Buddha's teachings. Based on this understanding of the early scriptures, he has also published "What is Buddhism?", "The Buddha's Awakening to Dependent Origination" and "The Philosophy of Buddha." He is also a passionate Buddhist writer, having translated Buddhist ecologist Joanna Macy's "Buddha's Dependent Origination and Artificial Intelligence" and recently American scientist and practitioner Vic Mansfield's "Buddhism and Quantum Mechanics." Professor Lee presents Dependent Origination, the core of Buddha's enlightenment, as the solution to all suffering and conflict. While Dependent Origination is often expressed as "if this exists, then that exists," it contains profound truth. It shatters the human error of thinking of everything as either this or that, me and you, self and world, and preaches the logic of relationships that demonstrate the interconnectedness of all things in the world. #ProfessorLeeJungPyo #HumanBuddha #BuddhistTemple ---------------------------- Jo Hyun TV Hyusimjeong Jo Hyun | Former Hankyoreh Religion Reporter, Writer, Meditation Practitioner [email protected] What do you desire?
