I traveled from Tokyo to Kochi by taking the Sunrise Express sleeper train and then the Nanpu Limited Express. It was my first time on a sleeper train, and my first time crossing the Seto Ohashi Bridge and the Dosan Line. The journey covered 912.2 km and took about 12 hours. I thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and the sounds of the train on the outbound journey to Kochi. This time, my trip to Kochi in early summer was a 2-night, 3-day trip with the goal of enjoying the first bonito of the season.
