I love this empanada recipe. The dough is super flaky and delicate. The smaller they are, the sturdier they are. Enjoy them! Love you all 🤍✨ Dulce de Leche and Walnut Empanadas Ingredients: 500g all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon granulated sugar 1 pinch of salt 340g Inca shortening @inca_mx 1/2 (4 oz) cream cheese 1 can dulce de leche + extra for glazing Coarsely chopped walnuts to taste Preparation: 1. Place the flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. 2. Add the shortening and cream cheese. Knead until you have a smooth dough. 3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. 4. Preheat oven to 350°F. 5. Roll dough into small balls and flatten them with a tortilla press. 6. Fill with 1 teaspoon of dulce de leche and a few chopped walnuts. Fold over and crimp the edges. 7. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. 8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. 9.
