Joan’s Jig is danced by “Big Kid’s” Friday Night Advanced Group, Auckland New Zealand. Many of these dancers started dancing in children’s classes – and are still dancing! Joan’s Jig includes features found in other dances devised by Derek such as 2nd and 4th couples start on the opposite side and a mens’ chain.
