Remake It! DK's Smash Moveset (Round 2)

This is Remake It! Where we take another look at characters in Smash Bros. whose fighter designs have aged poorly, wandered too far out-of-character, or could otherwise benefit from a revisit, then theorycraft what a reworked and improved version of their moveset, playstyle, and other details might look like! Up this time is a fan favorite whose own series came back to life in style last year! And also our first re-remake so far. Donkey Kong's straightforward, hands-on playstyle has been a popular one for several Smash games, yet despite that, he's felt more and more outdated as time as passed. With a brand new 3D adventure out now (a really good one, no less), how could the next Smash Bros. game incorporate elements from it to give DK a rework he's needed for so long? Could the new moves and mechanics from Bananza add new depth to his moveset? And can it all be done while keeping the parts of DK's Smash design that have held up well, creating something that appeals to new and returning players both instead of leaving one side behind?
