Alejandro Sánchez sobre el primer año de gobierno de Yamandú Orsi

President Yamandú Orsi presented the results of his first year in office to the General Assembly yesterday. He announced a bill to create a Ministry of Justice, a master plan for the railway system, the start of construction on the Coastal Hospital, and a projected revenue of $360 million by 2027, among other measures. The presentation was well-received by the ruling party but drew criticism from the opposition, which argued that the achievements announced by the government are out of step with the realities facing Uruguayans, including business closures, rising insecurity, and the water crisis.
