Vanessa Atler was a gymnastics prodigy whose brilliance illuminated the sport. Gymnastics brightest star, Crowned the 1997 U.S. National All-Around Champion (tie) and a two-time gold medalist at the 1998 Goodwill Games, she dazzled with her powerful vaults and dynamic floor routines. Yet, despite her meteoric rise, Atler’s journey was marred by intense pressure and personal struggles. Her uneven bar routine seemed to incorporate a skill she was not confident with, causing falls at key moments in her career. With each passing competition pressure grew and ballooned until Venessa quit her gym. But her new coach was much worse and she soon disorder developed under the coaching of Valeri Liukin.
