These include the handles, the piping, and sometimes even the side ties. These are all irreparable and need to be replaced. For the replacement, I selected leather of similar density. I cut out the pieces and dyed them a more accurate color. Then I finished the edges and dyed them. I stitched the handles with thread and attached them to the body of the bag, mimicking a machine stitch. I also sewed on the leather piping. The finished bag is already on its way to its owner.
