Leather elements on Louis Vuitton Neverfull bags often deteriorate. These include the handles, the piping, and sometimes even the side ties. These are all irreparable and need to be replaced. For the replacement, I selected leather that was close in color and density. I cut out the pieces and dyed them a more accurate color. Then I finished the edges and dyed them. I stitched the handles with thread and sewed them to the body of the bag, mimicking a machine stitch. I also sewed on the leather piping. Next, it was time to clean the lining of stains. The stain removal procedure from our tutorials came in handy. By cleaning the outside of the canvas, I removed the green tint and dullness. I matched the canvas colors and painted the design on the corners. The finished bag is already on its way to its owner.
