Appreciating My Dad By Way of Clannad

I know—it's not a good look to be defending people who've given their child debilitating shoulder injuries. Naoyuki Okazaki has plenty of faults. But, one thing I can't fault him for, and perhaps I'm in the minority for this, is taking on massive responsibility in spite of his faults. After they part, Okazaki wonders if his father had a good life, working and sacrificing for a "worthless" son like him. If he's anything like my dad, I'm confident in saying that the answer is this—he probably feels like he did.
