Location 🇺🇦 A day in the Ukrainian countryside: organic gardening, DIY decor

Welcome to a weekend in my countryside garden here in Ukraine. Right now, we are living through incredibly difficult, stressful, and anxious times in our country. Because of the danger, we cannot travel anywhere, and we can't take our children away on trips or vacations. That is why we are doing our best to create a safe, cozy, and beautiful little corner right here at home—for ourselves and for our kids to have a place to rest and feel saf In this video, I invite you to slow down, listen to the sounds of nature, and join me for a productive day of outdoor styling and organic gardening. There is no talking, just calm ASMR vibes and English subtitles to guide you through my day. The day begins right in my backyard, picking sweet, ripe cherries straight from the tree. There is nothing better than tasting summer's first harvest. _Our main project this weekend is making our outdoor rest area extra cozy. Watch me set up a mosquito net and hang aesthetic curtains on the gazebo. To give it a rustic touch, I handcraft custom curtain tiebacks from jute rope, fraying the edges for a beautiful, textured look. I love growing flowers from seeds, especially my vibrant petunias! Today, I’m testing out homemade tripod flower stands. Together with the potted petunias, they look just like tiny campfire cauldrons. To complete the look, I plant marigold seedlings underneath them to mimic glowing flames. I also set up matching stands for the rest of the petunias all around the gazebo. Summer is officially here, and the garden is bursting with color! Take a look at our gorgeous blooming climbing roses and lush peonies. I also do a little bit of garden grooming by trimming the decorative grass seed heads to keep everything looking neat and clean. As the weather changes, it’s time to head to the vegetable garden. To keep our potatoes 100% organic and chemical-free, we always collect Colorado potato beetles by hand. Watch my simple eco-friendly method using a jar of saltwater. I’ll also show you how fast our sweet corn is growing and how the tomatoes are starting to bloom. Before evening falls, I harvest fragrant tea roses. I won't be brewing them today—instead, I'm prepping and drying the petals to preserve them for warm, cozy tea during the winter months. We wrap up this beautiful day with a classic backyard barbecue. Relax with me by the fire as we grill some shashlik (skewered meat) on the mangal grill, taking one last look at the peaceful evening garden and glowing embers.
