Понятие реципиента речи

In argumentation theory (rhetorical discourse), two parties are distinguished: the speaker (rhetorician) and the recipient. The speaker (rhetorician) is the one who presents the position to be asserted. The recipient is the person accepting the speaker's thesis. In other types of speech (informational, entertaining, etc.), the following parties are distinguished: the speaker is the one conveying the information; the addressee is the person receiving the information. The word "recipient" comes from medical discourse and is used in conjunction with the word "donor." The donor, in a rhetorical context, is the person from whom the thesis (the idea that is implanted in the recipient) originates, and the recipient is, accordingly, the one who accepts this idea. The value of the recipient: capture and retention; arguments; the speaker's goal setting. Capturing and maintaining the recipient's attention allows for constant engagement. Arguments – any evidence is only effective when it relates to a specific recipient. Speaker goal-setting – focusing on the recipient helps the speaker concentrate on the speech.
