If you got here, it is because you are looking for a city to live in or you want to get to know the city. Elvas is a small city, with barely 16,000 habitants, and most of the Portuguese speak Spanish. This means that, for those who do not speak or have a low level of Portuguese, this is an ideal city. We were in contact with many people from the city and they are super friendly, they are eager to help you and they will have no problem solving any type of inconvenience. Highly recommended that you get to know Elvas in one or two days. The best route, if you are by car, is to leave Lisbon towards Badajoz and go through Évora and Elvas.
