Expert talk 1: The EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD)

The EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) Milestone to stop human rights and environmental violations or obstacle for producers and traders? .. to discuss these questions, we have invited Lena Markart and Janis Zoell from the GIZ Sector programme Corporate and Public Responsibility for Sustainable Supply Chains. In May 2024 the Council of the European Union gave the final green light to the new “due diligence” directive requiring companies to prevent, end or mitigate their adverse impact on human rights and the environment. Such impact will include slavery, child labour, labour exploitation, biodiversity loss, pollution or destruction of natural heritage. The Expert talk has been organized by ABF and MOVE-ComCashew.
