How I Finally Learned How to Circular Breathe on the Didgeridoo

Circular Breathing has not come naturally to me. It's been a slow frustrating journey, especially when I have met other people who seemed to learn it quickly. In this video I share with you 3 concepts that I have come to understand about learning how to circular breathe to play the didgeridoo. Technique is important and this takes time to learn. But there are 2 other concepts that I don't hear many people talk about when learning the didgeridoo so I explain these ideas in this video. My hope is that by giving you my honest account of the learning process and sharing my own personal progress as I go, it will help inspire you to keep going on your didgeridoo journey too. As frustrating as the many hours of not being very good at this instrument have been, it's also been an extremely rewarding and mysterious process that has helped me find more stillness, relaxation and peace of mind. There is something uniquely beautiful about the sound of the didgeridoo and sometimes after I play I feel like my whole body is vibrating. This helps relieve stress and take me out of that "fight or flight" anxious state of mind and into a deeper more calm sense of being.
