What is often missed concerning the Crucifixion of Christ is the "remembrance" of His Crucifixion, described by Paul as the Communion of the Lord's Body and Blood. When Jesus said He was the Bread of Life, He pointed as the Word Incarnated, in Flesh. But the Communion is not about the Bread, rather the Breaking of Bread. Paul emphasizes on this in both epistles of Galatians and 1 Corinthians when he warns believers to eat this Bread "Unleavened". The Bread and the Leaven must be understood in the context otherwise what we eat would, even though called the Communion of His Body, will not have the effect it was intended for.
