UN Security Council Vote on Authorization of Use of Force in Kuwait, November 1990
The United Nations Security Council votes on authorizing use of force to remove Iraq from Kuwait. US Secretary of State James Baker chairs on behalf of permanent Security Council member the United States, which at that moment held the chair of the Council. The Security Council hears from both the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sabah al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the Iraqi permanent representative to the UN Abdul Amir Al-Anbari. The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister quotes from the Koran saying "God loves those who are fair and just." The video occasionally starts and stops in the middle of the speeches. I apologize for this; I recorded it thirty years ago.
