Today we will visit the Quebrada El Hielo, located in the Precordillera of the Atacama Desert. About 90 kilometers east of Copiapó, the Quebrada El Hielo forks from the Quebrada Paipote. El Hielo is actually the access to a very interesting area, the Paton sector, La Isla and Llano Leoncito. Today we will go up to the Quebrada and enjoy the geology, history and landscape. Let's see the geomorphology and the particularities of the associated basin.
