These Vintage Keihin CR Carbs Were a Mess - Complete Rebuild

The CB1100F is wearing a set of Keihin CR33/CR35 Specials and after sitting for years they needed a proper rebuild - not a spray-and-pray, but a full tear down, ultrasonic clean, and reassembly with all new o-rings and gaskets. In this episode I walk through the complete process. Each carb gets fully disassembled, every passage and jet gets a run through the ultrasonic cleaner, and then everything goes back together with a fresh rebuild kit. By the end these carbs are as clean inside as the day they were made. The CR Specials are a great setup on the CB1100F but they're also more involved than the stock Keihins - if you're rebuilding a set yourself this one is worth watching before you start. 🔧 In this video: Full teardown of the Keihin CR33/CR35 Special carburetors Ultrasonic cleaning - what it does and why it matters Inspecting jets, needles, and slides for wear Rebuilding with all new o-rings and gaskets Reassembly tips and things to watch out for on the CR Specials 🏍️ CB1100F Build Series →    • 1983 Honda CB1100F - Restoration   📺 Subscribe for more vintage Honda builds, wrenching deep-dives, and tech content Throttle & Hex - vintage motorcycles & modern tech #CB1100F #Honda #KeihinCR #CarbRebuild #Keihin #VintageMotorcycle #ThrottleAndHex #Carburetors #Wrench #CR33 #CR35 #motorcyclerestoration #diy #hondamotorcycles Chapters: 00:00 - Intro 01:07 - Teardown 09:04 - Ultrasonic Cleaner 12:46 - Bolt Cleaning 13:21 - Drying from Ultrasonic Cleaner 16:24 - Carb Rebuild 31:44 - Carb Testing 32:01 - Outro
