Le seul moyen d'avoir les stems en streaming en 2026

Most DJs don't realize that when they mix tracks from streaming platforms, they almost never have access to the stems live. No imaginative mixes, no usable a cappella parts to seamlessly transition between tracks, no magical instrumentals for creating a stunning mashup… We now know the significant contribution of stem separation in modern DJing, while at the same time, more and more young DJs are turning to mixing tracks streamed from Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, SoundCloud, and Deezer (among others). Here again, the major record labels that own the music rights are blocking the use of stems, which they consider financially risky because they allow for endless modification of a work, potentially leading to the loss of rights to the final track. I'll outline here the few solutions available for retrieving stems for live mixing from streaming tracks. Virtual DJ, as is often the case, is the mixing software that offers the most immediate possibilities in this regard. It's primarily thanks to its live stem extraction engine (stems 2.0) that it enables stem streaming on Deezer, SoundCloud, and Tidal (which is expensive). Another solution exists with Tidal and DJ Pro Algoriddim, but it's costly (almost €20/month). Finally, you can't directly record mixes using streamed tracks in your DJ software due to DRM restrictions. You have to use an external analog recording of your DJ controller's outputs. #dj #streaming #virtualdj
