I Almost Ruined This Million Dollar View

Winter is officially here in New Zealand, and we had a massive race against time to get the entire house 100% closed-in and watertight before the miserable weather set in. To make sure this home hits the highest possible thermal performance, I actually traveled up to the factory in Auckland to help manufacture these windows myself. In this video, the team tackles lifting massive 115kg glass panels on a steep hillside site, we walk through a critical last-minute design change that completely saved our epic view, and we officially close in the new site headquarters and film studio! Huge thanks to Bradnam's for supplying the Pacific 52 series windows with the stock-standard recessed thermal break—it completely changed how we approached the carpentry and flush floor-to-deck layout.
