The cherry blossoms at Takada Castle Ruins Park were announced to have bloomed on the 6th and reached full bloom on the 9th. The peak bloom is expected this weekend. The current cherry blossom viewing event, which began in 1926 (Taisho 15), is bustling with activity this year, marking its 100th anniversary. Besides the cherry blossoms, there's also a gourmet offering. This year, 215 food stalls are set up, offering Niigata specialties such as Poppo-yaki, as well as fried chicken and konjac balls. Among these, there's a special "cherry blossom sweet" unique to the 100th anniversary: ​​the "Sakura Canelé," topped with a cherry blossom. The elegant sweetness and fragrance of the cherry blossom fill your mouth. Next, we'll introduce some recommended spots along "Sakura Road." At Takada Castle Ruins Park, projection mapping is applied to the survey trees that serve as indicators for the announcement of the cherry blossom bloom.
