Mimuroto-ji Temple – The lotus flowers in the "Lotus Garden" are now in full bloom.

Mimuroto-ji Temple is located in Uji, south of Kyoto, about an hour by train from Kyoto Station. It is famous as a temple of flowers, and from late June to early August, approximately 250 lotus pots featuring around 100 varieties come into full bloom one after another in the Lotus Garden in front of the main hall.
