Maintaining the Edge - Loop Hoof Knife Sharpening with Roy Bloom
Roy Bloom, CJF came by the FootPro Shop and shared some useful info on a number of tool topics, including this footage demonstrating how to keep a good edge on your loop knife. He worked with an Diamond Farrier USA all-in-one sharpener and a FootPro oval sharpener. One of the important points was always to sharpen the inside edge of the loop knives. The Bloom Forge and Diamond loop knives are excellent tools for general trimming but work especially well when working with the frog and bar area of the hoof.
