Climbing Dragontail Peak via Colchuck Lake and Aasgard Pass

Dragontail Peak stands at 8,840 ft tall above Colchuck Lake in Enchantments in Washington state. It offers incredible views of the surrounding mountains in all directions. It's called Dragontail Peak because it's spiny ridge resembles that of a dragon's tail. This video begins at Colchuck Lake. Colchuck Lake is an extremely popular hike that gets overcrowded on summer weekends. The hike around Colchuck Lake is ~1mile to reach the base of Aasgard Pass. From here it's about 2,000ft of gain in less than a mile to reach the pass. From there we headed west up the talus field to a snowfield crossing. We crossed the snowfield to the col between Witches Tower and Dragontail Peak. After reaching this point, we headed up to the summit via an easy scramble of about 300 ft or so where incredible views awaited!
