Cycling Germany Alps Riegsee Lechbruck 10 09 2020

Today left a little later. At half past nine I leave the campsite via the cycle route that runs right through the campsite. Today I make a tour through Bavaria because I am still ahead of schedule. I cycle back to Murnau. I do not come across any shops here, which is necessary because stocks are running out. Then I pass Bad Kohlgrub. The road rises considerably again, but no shops here either. Then on cookies and a leftover coke. It is a good idea to find the route because it is not pre-programmed and every village I have to look again at which village I have to next. Then follows a 13 km long Königsweg. This route is unpaved and climbs again to 900 meters. Many MTBs on the road. At the highest point I have to ford a river and I arrive in a completely different valley with rolling hills with steep mountains in the background. Finally I find a bakery in Halblech with delicious cornbread. This is also where the goal of today lies: Neuschwanstein Castle, famous as an example for Disney film Cinderella. It is not very busy and many local cyclists. After some photos and videos, I cycle along Fußen and Forgensee. I follow a busy cycle route. I also finally come across a supermarket and the stocks can be replenished again. I find a great campsite in Lechbruck am See. It is only half past four but the next one is much further away. The campsite is gigantic and very quiet compared to the previous campsites. For 13 euros I get meadow for myself alone with a bench and charging points.
