Esto significa “TENER EXPERIENCIA” en CIBERSEGURIDAD
In August or September, I'll celebrate my first two years working in cybersecurity, and this video is a short retrospective on what I've learned along the way. When you start out in IT or security, you often think that having experience means knowing how to use tools, doing penetration testing, or having certifications. But when you start working, you realize something very different: most of the experience is about understanding how systems work. In this video, I share some of my thoughts before I started working—some of them quite silly—and how real-world experience helped me better understand topics like: how servers actually work how to manage systems without a graphical interface how machines connect in a data center the true role of a firewall in a network architecture how to deploy applications on real-world infrastructure what it means to write maintainable code and why understanding systems is more important than knowing tools The idea isn't to give a lecture or create a tutorial, but rather to share real-world anecdotes and insights that might help those studying or starting their careers in cybersecurity, systems, or development. If you're studying computer science, engineering, or want to get started in cybersecurity, many of these questions have probably crossed your mind as well. 🔗 Community Community Discord: / discord LinkedIn: / valetorassa TAGS cybersecurity, cybersecurity career, cybersecurity experience, working in cybersecurity, first cybersecurity job, learning cybersecurity, studying cybersecurity, how to get started in cybersecurity, real-world cybersecurity experience, life in cybersecurity, IT security job, IT security career, IT security experience, what does cybersecurity experience mean, real-world IT experience, technology career, technology job, systems engineering, studying systems engineering, systems student, computer science career, computer systems, computer science career, IT job, software development, programming career, learning programming, software engineer, software engineering career, operating systems, Linux, learning Linux, server administration, Linux servers, system administration sysadmin, computer networks, networking, network architecture, network firewalls, systems architecture, IT infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, cloud computing, application infrastructure, how servers work, how the internet works, Linux server administration, SSH, remote servers, connecting servers, data center servers, rack servers, network infrastructure, IT architecture, network concepts, TCP/IP, network protocols, troubleshooting systems, Linux logs, Linux processes, Linux permissions, Linux system administration, learning operating systems, software architecture, application architecture, proxy, reverse proxy, load balancing, web application infrastructure, how web applications work, backend infrastructure, deploying applications, DevOps concepts, DevOps explanation, CI/CD, continuous integration, continuous deployment, GitHub actions, DevOps pipeline, infrastructure as code, cloud infrastructure, AWS basics, cloud engineer, cloud security, cloud security, infrastructure security, systems security, learning cloud computing, backend programming Backend APIs, backend development, reading code, code review, pull request, GitHub pull request, programming best practices, clean code, maintainable code, readable code, clean code, software best practices, software engineering, software architecture, modern software architecture, IT professional development, programmer career, DevOps career, cloud engineer career, cybersecurity career, learning technology, studying technology, IT work experience, professional technology experience, learning systems, learning infrastructure, learning networks, learning cybersecurity, technology career tips, first IT job, first tech job, computer science student tips, systems student tips, software engineering career, backend engineering, application security, systems security, real-world programmer experience, reflections on technology careers, computer science anecdotes, learning technology from scratch, learning cybersecurity from scratch, cybersecurity career, cybersecurity career advice, how to start cybersecurity, cybersecurity learning path, systems engineering career, software engineering journey, tech career advice, IT career advice, developer career path, learning Linux servers
