This isn't a technical video. It's the story of my first official cybersecurity certification. A couple of months ago, I had to fill out a form for a work provider, and it asked for official cybersecurity certifications. That's when it hit me: I had some networking and cloud certifications… but no purely security credentials. Nothing like Security+, CEH, or EJPT. So I decided to go for the CompTIA Security+. In the video, I'll tell you: Why I chose Security+ and ruled out other options like CC How I prepared in just a few weeks while working What it was like locking myself away for hours and hours to study How difficult the exam really was What I felt when I saw 794/900 on the screen (and why I ended up crying) Whether it's really worth it as a first certification for someone who wants to grow in cybersecurity I want this to be an honest video, showing you the joy of achievement but also the frustration, exhaustion, and doubts that come with certification.
