The Atacama Desalination Plant - Chile
The Atacama plant is the first desalination plant financed, in its first stage, by the state of Chile, through the Sanitary Services Concession Company ECONSSA Chile. It is one of the most relevant projects for the Atacama region, not only because of the large investment allocated to the area, but also because it guarantees the supply of drinking water in a sector that no longer has natural aquifers for self-sufficiency.
