Thameslink Class 700 Acceleration 0-100mph (160km/h) St Albans City to West Hampstead

Are the Class 700's one of the UK's fastest accelerating trains? On this evidence, they have a strong claim to be possibly the second or 3rd fastest. Here on a southbound start from St Albans with the assistance of a downhill gradient, we see this train accelerate to 60mph in 46 seconds and achieve 100mph in around 2 minutes. The GPS data seems to get lost between 1 min 40 and 1 min 58 seconds causing an issue with Garmin's calculation of distance data , and the sudden jump in speed from 90 too 100mph. It appears that the high sensitivity receiver lost signal (the train windows do have an thermic coating which makes it even harder to receive GPS signals ) before regaining signal again.
