For a very long time, access to clean, safe water was a severe daily struggle for the families of Kigwende Village in Kwale County. Children had to wake up early and trek long distances just to fetch water before school—arriving in class exhausted, late, or unable to focus. Families were forced to make difficult daily decisions between using their limited water for cooking or washing. Thanks to your generous support, Al-Khair Foundation Kenya delivered a new Shallow Well with Hand Pump right in the heart of Kigwende Village.
