STARTING OUR JOURNEY TO ALASKA | HOW MUCH CAN YOU SEE IN 3 DAYS | WALMART CAMPING S2 | Ep17

Season 2 is here! We leave Maine and stay at our first Walmart in New York. With a good parking lot experience under our belt, we continue to stay at Walmarts for the next 2 nights. Our first full day of travel, we detour a bit to see Niagara Falls and decide it is the perfect opportunity to use our passports for the first time and check out the Canadian side as well! Though we had read everywhere that we could bike across the Rainbow Bridge, the process was a bit more difficult than explained. We had to bike over the bridge with traffic, sit in traffic as a car and go through the boarder with vehicles. It was a bit more dangerous than we thought it would be, so we wouldn’t recommend it with children. After seeing the falls from the other side, we were still so glad we crossed the bridge to check it out! Because we were flexible and had such a great time at Niagara, we called Grand Design last minute as we were driving by and asked if we could see the property. Justin met us as we got there and gave us a wonderful tour of the facilities where our home was made. They had our exact model on the line that day, and we couldn’t be happier with the company we went with. Grand Design builds quality RVs and they stand behind their product. Day three gets us to our first real destination that we had been looking forward to for almost a year: Mount Rushmore. We got there in the afternoon and had no idea about the night program offered. The mountain is lit up at night and a ranger gives a wonderful speech regarding the mountain as well as shows a movie about how the sculpture was created. The night ended with a moving ceremony honoring all past and present military. Corey was privileged to be one of the vets to lower the flag at the base of Rushmore. We packed a whole lot into 3 days and still have much more to share with you before we arrive at the ranch in Wyoming where we will be volunteering!
