Press Briefing by Defense Secretary Dick Cheney and Joint Chiefs Chair Colin Powell
The Persian Gulf War begins. Operation Desert Storm began two hours earlier and Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Colin Powell give a press briefing. They indicate that this campaign involves all of the services of the US military and hundreds of allied aircraft. The press asks a series of ridiculous questions asking about specific targets and what weapons are used knowing full well they cannot receive answers to those since its an on going military operation. Cheney and Powell spend a lot of time saying this.
