Baritone Saxophone Multiphonics
The lowest notes on baritone saxophone quite readily split into exciting multiphonics. The low A in particular allows you to sweep through the harmonic series in spectacular fashion, a la Leo P. Using a slightly different embouchure pressure and air flow will allow you to activate these sounds. Even if you don’t like them, give them a go and find out how they are achieved so you can better understand your instrument. Check out the amazing piece by Ed Bennett for bass clarinet and electronics here: • Monster I also play on that album with Decibel, find out more about my recordings here: https://neilmcgovern.weebly.com
