Is Laos the most underrated country in Southeast Asia? 🇱🇦 In this Laos travel vlog, we discover one of the most beautiful places in Southeast Asia as we explore the stunning Kuang Si Falls and experience a magical Mekong River sunset cruise in Luang Prabang. From the unreal turquoise waterfalls hidden deep in the jungle to golden sunset views over the Mekong River, Laos completely exceeded our expectations. We truly didn’t expect Laos to be this beautiful. After leaving Vietnam, we arrive in Luang Prabang, Laos, ready to begin a brand-new adventure. We settle into our accommodation, grab some lunch, and take a quick look around the charming old town before preparing for an early start the next morning. To beat the crowds, we wake up early and head to Kuang Si Falls first thing in the morning—and it was absolutely worth it. Arriving as some of the first visitors, we get to experience the breathtaking turquoise waterfalls in near silence, surrounded only by jungle sounds. It feels surreal. Along the way, we also learn the fascinating local legend of the golden deer, which makes this incredible place feel even more magical. After a peaceful coffee break overlooking rice fields, we end the day with a sunset cruise along the Mekong River. As the sun disappears behind the mountains, we take part in a beautiful local tradition—making wishes and releasing fish into the river for good luck.
