Instead of following the typical tourist route, we choose the famous Big Loop—but in reverse, going anti-clockwise. Thanks to our amazing tuk-tuk driver and perfect timing, we manage to avoid nearly all the large tour groups throughout the day. The biggest surprise? We get Angkor Wat almost entirely to ourselves by skipping both sunrise and sunset, proving that sometimes the best strategy is avoiding the obvious times. From ancient stone temples and jungle-covered ruins to intricate carvings and towering staircases, every stop feels incredible. The only challenge? The Cambodian heat.
