In September, we set off with our campervan, dog, and fishing rods to Hjälmaren, Sweden's fourth largest lake. There, we took the free ferry to the island of Vinön to explore it. We also tried our luck at some relaxed fishing and bought crayfish and smoked eel from local fishermen. Then we returned to the mainland to do some shopping, noting the price differences compared to Germany. Afterwards, we headed to a swimming spot. We ate the crayfish on the lakeshore, fished, smoked some fish, and looked for mushrooms. Our next destination was a well-known limestone quarry with a lake. We noticed that in this region, compared to many other parts of the country, there were very few campervans on the roads in mid-September.
