In this commentary on Easter Sunday, the Resurrection of the Lord, we focus on the experience from the perspective of each of the characters present in John's account: Mary Magdalene, Peter, and the beloved disciple. Furthermore, we provide a brief catechesis on the Easter Season to help subscribers of our study and evangelization channel understand the liturgical pedagogy we should follow until the Solemnity of Pentecost, in 50 days from today. Father Hallison Parro BIBLE TEXT Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to John 20:1-9 1 On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb of Jesus, very early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb. 2 Then she ran and went to find Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.” 3 So Peter and the other disciple went out and went to the tomb. 4 They were both running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5 Looking inside, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter, who was following him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the cloth that had been on Jesus’ head, not lying with the linen cloths, but rolled up in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in. He saw and believed. 9 For as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
