Die Jungsteinzeit: Eine Einführung

Where should one begin if one wants to explore the history of the region in which they live? We decided to start at the point where people became sedentary, cultivated the land, and, so to speak, took possession of it. That is the beginning of the New Stone Age or the "Neolithic." An era that began in our region a good 7,500 years ago and ultimately ended with the Bronze Age about 4,000 years ago. To find out what research knows about the Neolithic, we visited the former director Johannes Tuzar at the Krahuletz Museum in Eggenburg. He took the time to lead us through the collection, discuss finds, and answer our many questions. This first episode of the FUNDSTELLE series "Stone&Bone - the history of the Neolithic" gives an overview of the Neolithic period up to the beginning of the Bronze Age. 00:00 Introduction 01:13 The Linear Pottery culture 05:33 The Lengyel culture 12:45 The Copper Age 20:51 Trade in the Neolithic 20:06 The Krahuletz Museum, Outro The Krahuletz Museum in Eggenburg is definitely worth a visit!
