FERRIES OF INDIAN ARM- RALPH DREW

Drawing on material from his two books, author-historian (and Mayor of Belcarra) Ralph Drew illuminated a vanished era when ferries from Vancouver, travelling post offices and floating grocery stores provided a lifeline to the scattered cottages and work camps along Indian Arm. The era ended with the extension of roads from Deep Cove and Port Moody in the 1960s, although much of the region remains accessible only by boat today.
